Hello Everyone!!!

Its that time of year where we all show our gratitude in one form or another to our love ones and our friends. I want to take this time to wish each and everyone of you a Merry Christmas and a Healthy, Prosperous and Happy New Year!

May God continue to be in your lives and blessed you. I cannot begin to tell you how happy I am that I do not have the stress of competing in my life and I can go to the gym lift heavy, do my cardio and enjoy doing it with no restrictions of routine, routine, routine which was so much a part of my life for over 15 years. I am loving it...for my fans that still wish me to be on stage thanks for your continued support. know that as long as I have breathe I could go back on that stage at any time but what for? I have nothing to prove to anyone but myself . The only thing I will be doing differently is not getting on stage but everything else remains the same. You will still see me around with my big dense muscle. One of the reasons why I decided to stop competing is due to the federation changing the judging criteria and are now looking for female body builders to look some what like the ones back in the past and I will be damn if I allow any human being to play with my mind. Its bodybuilding....not fitness or figure or swim suit (whatever that is). God forbid they put routines to the figure side of it. Then whats left for the female bodybuilders to show. Its sad to say that bodybuilding is not even considered a sport. When filling out an application and they want to know which bracket you fall under in sports you will see basketball, socceer, golf, etc. but never bodybuilding. So go figure.... why are we ladies continuing to kill ourselves when the prize money is such a big slap in the face. I guess for the love of it!! Well a MIND is a very serious thing to waste.

In closing I wish each and everyone of you all the best that life has to offer.
God Bless
Regards
Rosemary

AFTER THOUGHTS OF THE OLYMPIA

Hi there one and all.....

Hope God has blessed each and everyone of you with a good life filled with love and happiness. As for me spending almost one week in Las Vegas was four (4) days too many. My sole purpose there was to compete in the Ms Olympia. I came back to Miami very tired having to recuperate from the time difference to and fro. We had a great line up of ladies and everyone was in shape but as you know we all have different body types and structures...I came in 11th place...I was very happy with my physique and I never worry or care for where the judges place me. I go into every show with a very positive attitude not having expectation of the placing because we all know that if you allow anyone to play with your mind it could spell destruction for some who are not very strong mentally. Now having said all of that I would like to let all my fans know that the 2009 Ms. Olympia was my last show...I am now retired. The reason for me retiring is not so much that I do not love and enjoy the sport of bodybuilding and getting on stage, I am not just satisfied with the criteria of the judging panel and wanting the women to come in skinner . They already have fitness and figure divisions....its BODYBUILDING for Christ sake, where conditioning and a complete package should be awarded. How can one be awarded for their conditioning if they do not have a complete package and certain body parts are lagging.
When the IFBB decided to have all the classes combined as one I was afraid that the judges would not know how to judge the short women against the tall women and with that in mind I did the NYPRO show in 2005 which was the last show for the two weight classes. I was a light weight and I was able to win my class and the overall. In doing so I said well maybe I was wrong about the judges and there is still hope for us short ladies but today I realized, I am not wrong about the judges...they still do not know how to judge the two classes as one so this is where I have decided to say good bye to the stage of competition but not to my weightlifting and staying in good shape and health.
I will still be very much in the bodybuilding field but just would not be getting on stage anymore.

I want to thank each and everyone of you for your continued support and hope that you continue to support me in my future endeavors.

God is good all the time and all the time God is good!

Always look within before you look to the surface and always try to see the end before the beginning!

God Bless

MINI OFFSEASON BEFORE THE BIG O

Hello Everyone...

Hope life is good to all of you out there and the stress is not playing a big factor on you...remember stress is a killer so stay clear of it as much as you can. I am trying to enjoy my offseason and not feel guilty that I am not following my rigorous routine when I am in contest prep...there is so much to life than getting on stage but in the meantime thats what I choose to do and will continue on that path until I get the red flag that its time to retire...I still think I have lots to teach and I am here for a good purpose.

In this hard economical time we have to deal with one issue or another....The rich people of this world are not face with monetary problems but I am quite certain they too have problems and as we know money cannot buy everything for sure...

Recently I added a donate button to my website, so all those fans and followers that are interested in helping me out for my upcoming Ms. Olympia, please feel free to click on the donate button and show your generosity..... as little as it is.... its still better than nothing.

I will continue with the help of my dear friend Colette Nelson who is the webmaster of my site to bring you updates every two weeks or so of my big flexing muscle.

Looking forward to my Summer here in Miami and will definitely be hitting the pool to get my tan on...

Always be true to yourself and remember to put God first, He will never steer you wrong.

Peace and love to all of you.

SPECIES NY PRO SHOW

Hello Everyone......

Hope all of you are in great health and the economical problems that we are faced with have not taken over us....May 16, 2009 in New York City was a very exciting one. I competed with 24 of the finest Athletes from across the world. The Species NY Pro show. Going into the show I was very confident as I had done my homework with the help of my dear fiance and coach Alex Ramirez I was able to bring a different look to the stage which awarded me with a 3rd place finished and a qualification for the Olympia which will be held on the weekend of September 25 and 26 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The turn out for the NY Pro show was a great one....I will also be making a Guest Appearance at a show in Fort Myers on May 30....After that I will take a week or so off and then start my prep for the Ms. Olympia.

I want to wish everyone all the best in their life and hope that they are coping with these economical times we are going through. Always remember God does not give you more than He knows you can handle.

With that being said......

God bless each and everyone of you.

Peace!!

2009 Arnold Classic-Ms International

Hello Everyone....

The experience once again at the Arnold Classic was a great one...I consider this show to be the best on the IFBB calendar where the athletes are treated at their best. Its a show that most of the IFBB professionals would love to receive an invitation to compete but only 14 or 15 women are chosen each year.....As usual Iris Kyle was pheonominal. I worked very hard to give my best performance but having undergone surgery on Dec 4 with four (4 )weeks to recuperate my body was not responding the way I thought it would have but having signed my contract and accepted the invitation to compete I gave it my best shot and decided I will do the show knowing that I was not at my ultimate best and I was awarded 12th place. I always go into these shows detaching myself from the outcomes such as winnings but enjoying to the fullest knowing that I have given it my all and not taken any short cuts to get there.

Instead of resting to do another show later in the year I decided that I will compete at the Species IFBB Women's Professional Bodybuilding Chanpionships in conjunction with the IFBB New York Mens Professional Bodybuilding Championships and the IFBB Men's 202 on May 16, 2009 . The venue is the Tribecca Performing Arts at BMCC, 199 Chamber Street, New York City. I am working very hard on regaining my 2005 win. So far the body is responding beautifully...I cannot tell you that I will conform to what the Judges are looking for to crown their ideal female bodybuilder but I will come in sharp, full muscle bellies and as hard as I possible can...if they choose me all good and well....if they don't so be it...I will still be happy with my accomplishment knowing that I did not take any short cuts to get there.

I hope everyone comes out and give their support to the athletes.

I want to thank everyone for being so supportive of me

Stay tune.....I will keep you posted on my progress.

God Bless each and everyone of you.

Always

RE: HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!

Hello Everyone:

Its a little late in coming but better late than never...I want to wish each and everyone of you a Happy, Healthy, Prosperous and fulfilling New Year!

The offseason was over as of December 6, 2008 as I started my diet for the Arnold Classic, Ms. International, scheduled for March 6, 2009 in Columbus, Ohio. Hope to see many of my fans coming out to show their support.

I made a new edition to my physique that I believe can only help my placing but I always have in my mind never to have expectations of anything but to have joy in that which gives me the ultimate thrill. In saying that I am working to bring my physique into the pleasing package that I am comfortable with for me and no one else. If the judges award me then all good and well if they don't it will still be all good and well.

I am now seven (7) weeks out from Friday, January 15 and counting down the weeks until show time.

I want to thank each and everyone of you for your continued support.

God Bless

Rosemary
